We have been working on this new project for a long time, and now, from Electron Retracts, we are pleased to share it with you!
The Controlbox, our new electronic, designed entirely by us, has replaced the RB-45.
Features:
- More powerful, up to 8A per output.
- Compatible with all our retracts (Classic & NG).
- New Software and Hardware, developed from scratch, more professional, stable and reliable.
- Changed the way of measuring the power supplied to engines, faster and more precise.
- Manual operation to retract/deploy retracts without a transmiter, by just pressing the button.
- Constant battery monitoring, the LED will let you know if it your battery voltage is low, grating you a secure flight.

What are the differences between ControlBox and SmartBox?
The ControlBox allows you to perform the most essential operations: extend and retract the landing gear, apply proportional brakes, and controlling the steering servo. It also features a “Manual mode”, which allows you to extend and retract the connected landing gears by pressing a button on the ControlBox itself.
However, if you require of a sequencer for gear doors, or you would like gyro assist for landings, the SmartBox is the best choice.
The SmartBox features a full color touchscreen, and allows to adjust all parameters through various menus. It includes a door sequencer for up to 8 servos, and gyro-assisted braking for landings, to keep the model on a straight trayectory. It also allows deeper levels of adjustment for the brakes and the steering servo.
