DC motor
*Optional: Maxon Coreless DCX Motor
Each motor housing incorporates a custom precision milled Electron Retracts carbon steel gearbox that provides a powerful, reliable and compact power output to the retract. A more powerful 12v motor, optionally Maxon Coreless DCX Motor can be installed, offers greater performance.
Exclusive Spindle
Electron Retracts spindle
Conventional spindle
Keeping the same proven exclusive thread design, developed by Electron Retracts, the NG’s spindle is now produced from AISI304 Stainless Steel, which together with the brass slide offer incredibly low friction, meaning every last drop of torque is transmitted directly to the retract.
The new thread spindle generates a completely axial force, providing performance up to 30% more efficient than a conventional spindle.
Get the highlights
All of our retracts are designed to make a difference in terms of precision and performance. The heart of our retracts is forged from a single block of aircraft grade aluminum, our exclusive reversible desing, the protected spindle with a guide point and a fixed motor position make our Classic and NG Retracts the most efficient and reliable on the market.
Main frame design
Other retracts are made of multiple pieces which makes them delicate and increases the opportunity of failure.
Our Monoblock main frame gives the system enormous robustness, and guarantees smooth, reliable operation, as well as great durability.
We milled main frame and parts from solid block of AW 7075 T6* (*Aeronautic grade aluminum), also anodized to guarantee correct protection against oxidation/corrosion.
Unparalleled performance
In order to transmit thrust with the highest efficiency and stability, the spindle must be guided on both ends (1). This can only be achieved with a fixed (2), non-tilting design, something that until now, only Electron Retracts provides.
Thanks to the main frame design, the slider is protected at the end of its travel range 3), so the landing impact energy is completely transmitted to the frame, preventing any damage to the spindle and slider.
Multiple possibilities
Depending on your specific model, it may need the retracts to fold back on themselves, or away from themselves. Thanks to our unique design, this can be achieved by simply removing the trunion and flipping it round. This procedure can be completed in minutes and does not affect the warranty.
